Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Ear Wax.

Most clients feel only mild tugging or brief stinging; discomfort is short-lived. We use gentle wax and calming techniques to reduce sensitivity. Numbing isn't usually necessary, but we provide soothing aftercare to ease any temporary irritation.

Ear Waxing is safe for most sensitive skin when performed by experienced therapists. We perform a quick assessment and may do a patch test. If you have extremely thin or compromised skin, we will recommend alternatives to avoid irritation.

Results typically last two to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth cycles and genetics. Regular appointments extend smoothness and slow regrowth. Maintenance schedules can be tailored to your needs for consistently groomed ears.

Most healed piercings are fine for Ear Wax, but avoid waxing over recent or irritated piercings. Inform your therapist about any implants or medical devices. We will adapt technique or suggest safe alternatives to protect sensitive areas.

Arrive with clean, dry ears and avoid applying lotions, oils, or heavy creams beforehand. Tell us about medications, blood-thinning treatments, or skin conditions. Avoid alcohol or vigorous exercise before your appointment to minimize redness and sensitivity.

Common side effects include temporary redness, mild swelling, or tiny bumps that subside within a day or two. Follow aftercare instructions: keep the area clean, avoid sun exposure and harsh products. Contact us for prolonged pain or signs of infection.
