Get answers to common questions about Shoulder Wax.
Most clients enjoy smooth shoulders for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycle, skin type and aftercare. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and increase duration between appointments. Results vary by individual.
Some mild sting is normal, but our estheticians use skin preparation, temperature-controlled wax and soothing post-care to minimize discomfort. Short treatment time and experienced technique make the procedure quick and tolerable for most clients.
Ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long, exfoliate gently 48 hours prior, avoid lotions or heavy oils the day of, and arrive with clean, dry skin. Inform your esthetician of medications or recent sun exposure to ensure safe waxing.
We advise against waxing after recent sunburn or tanning; sensitive, damaged skin increases risk of irritation or lifting. Wait at least one to two weeks after sun exposure or tanning and consult your esthetician if unsure.
Most clients book every three to six weeks depending on personal hair growth and desired smoothness. Establishing a regular schedule improves results and reduces discomfort over time as hair thins and grows back finer.
Common temporary effects include redness, mild tenderness and small bumps that usually subside within 24 to 48 hours. Apply calming aloe or recommended post-wax serum, avoid hot showers and friction for a day to protect skin.
